I tempted to use more 3d than classic AE 2.5d cinematics on this one.
Using blender 2.8 to camera-map both the environment and the mixamo character, and 3dCoat to sculpt some props like the hooded figure and VR head-gear.
Used some kitbash to populate the base scene of the first two shots, and re-painted everything in PS.
